10 years and counting
This year, Fingal Rowing Club celebrates 10 years on the East Coast. Below will give you an overview of the club and the history of Skiff Racing.

Our Story
Fingal Rowing Club (FRC) was established in 2016 and is now the tenth rowing club
affiliated with the East Coast Rowing Council. The club is a Traditional East Coast Skiff Rowing Club. Skiff Rowing in Ireland is the traditional coastal rowing sport that’s popular along the East Coast of Ireland. To learn more about our East Coast Skiffs and Skiff racing click here. The Club was originally based at Rush Sailing Club and is now located in Balbriggan, North County Dublin. While based in Balbriggan, the name “Fingal” reflects the Club’s wider community, including the surrounding towns of Skerries, Rush, Lusk, and Donabate.
Fingal Rowing Club is a community-based, volunteer-led organisation dedicated to the development of individuals in the art and sport of skiff rowing. The Club seeks to foster an environment that challenges and inspires its members, while promoting teamwork,
sportsmanship, athletic development, and camaraderie through both competitive and recreational opportunities.
